You cannot validate a manufacturing process by inspecting three golden samples hand-picked by the plant manager. True validation requires a production trial run executed on serial equipment, under normal operating conditions, and at full rate. This is where APQP PPAP quality management becomes non-negotiable.
5. Production Launch, Feedback, and Corrective Action
The transition from pilot runs to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requires continuous monitoring of scrap rates, capability indices ($C_p$ and $C_{pk}$), and customer feedback loops.

The PPAP Package: Proof, Not Promises
In automotive contract manufacturing, the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) is not a standalone administrative requirement: it is the tangible proof that the APQP process worked.
