Michael J. Musleh is a transformational executive with more than 25 years of global leadership experience helping Fortune 500, private equity, family-owned, and multinational organizations accelerate profitability, strengthen operations, and build world-class supply chains. His career spans automotive, industrial manufacturing, medical devices, retail, consumer products, and global sourcing, providing a unique ability to transfer best practices across industries.   Holding VP roles in Engineering, Design, IT, Purchasing, and Sales, he gets it.

Michael has directed global operations exceeding $750 million in annual spend, managing complex supply chains spanning 32 countries, 27 manufacturing facilities, and more than 139,000 SKUs. His expertise extends far beyond procurement into organizational transformation, operational excellence, strategic planning, executive leadership, mergers and acquisitions support, product launches, international sourcing, and enterprise-wide cost optimization.

As Vice President of Global Purchasing for Oerlikon Drive Systems, Michael led  a global transformation.  Merging 2 compannies with 27 plants is an unwieldy thing. He did it with great leaders placed throughout the world he was blessed to hand choose.  Developing the right culture, systems, and services allowed a worldwide procurement and supply chain operationswhile implementing long-term strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier rationalization, Toyota Production System methodologies, and value engineering programs that delivered more than $40 million in documented savings with >700M in spend. Under his leadership, global supplier performance improved significantly while inventory, cash flow, and operational efficiency reached benchmark levels.  He received numerous awards.

As the Founder and Executive Vice President of Stratic Global Sourcing, a business unit of the 117-year-old Oscar Winski Corporation, Michael built an international sourcing organization from the ground up. He established exclusive global manufacturing partnerships, created an international supply chain serving Fortune 500 customers, developed award-winning marketing strategies, and built one of the corporation’s highest-performing business units with gross margins approaching 29%, well above industry norms. During one of the most disruptive periods in global commerce, he successfully navigated COVID-related supply chain disruptions while maintaining exceptional customer performance and regulatory compliance.

Throughout his career, Michael has also held executive leadership positions with  Oerlikon/Dana/Allison,  Ecolab, Zimmer Biomet, Finish Line, and Douglas Autotech (JTEKT/Toyota Group), leading major business transformations involving manufacturing, procurement, engineering, operations, sales, information technology, and continuous improvement. His accomplishments include multi-million-dollar cost reductions, operational turnarounds, Lean Six Sigma deployment, Toyota Production System implementation, organizational redesign, executive coaching, and global risk mitigation.

One of Michael’s distinguishing characteristics is his ability to build executive teams rather than simply purchasing departments. He develops business-minded leaders who understand finance, operations, engineering, manufacturing, customer expectations, and strategic decision-making. His mentoring philosophy has consistently produced stronger organizations capable of sustaining long-term operational excellence.

Michael’s leadership extends beyond corporate responsibilities through governance and community service. He has served on multiple nonprofit and educational boards, including the Purdue Mitch Daniels School of Business Alumni Board, the Wabash Center Board of Directors, and leadership service supporting organizations dedicated to individuals with disabilities and community development. These experiences have strengthened his executive governance, strategic planning, and organizational leadership capabilities beyond the corporate environment.

Earlier in his career, Michael earned recognition as one of the youngest Vice Presidents within the Toyota/JTEKT organization, receiving the prestigous Presidents Award from Dr. Ito himself,  reflecting both his technical expertise and leadership potential at an early stage of his executive career. That foundation in Toyota’s disciplined management philosophy continues to influence his consulting approach today through practical application of Lean thinking, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), continuous improvement, and people-centered leadership.
